On this Fathers Day, I reflect back upon my work with the fatherless children of this world. Never will these orphans prepare for fishing trip vacation with Dad. Never will these orphans ride on the shoulders or go for a pony ride on Daddy’s back. Never will their homework be checked at the end of a long school day. Never will some orphans lives and words be defended, praised, coached, guided and mentored by a Father’s love. Never will there be safe strong arms when these children awaken frantic with the terrors of the night. Never will there be a Father’s pride at the end of the finish line. The children are protected by a Father God, and loved in a way we cannot. This is the only way I can accept these children being orphaned.

Romanian OrphanHow many times do people put aside stories of sick, desperate fatherless children and go about their lives with a sigh of hopelessness?  Bury those excuses, words, worries and fears and join us in help! My hope is that each person that I come in contact with can be changed by the message of the silent voice of the fatherless, opening up the suffering and hurting world in a way that will put your life where your mouth is! Stretch out your hands, and your lives to the fatherless child. You will be forever changed and surprised by the compassion you have inside! I offer up many prayers for the Fatherless of the world.  Hold and love them in your prayers today.

On a very personal note, thank you Tata Gelu for being a Daddy to so many children in the House of Angels over these years. So many children gently disciplined, and loved hard by a man who has given his life so selflessly to orphans and disadvantaged children for us over these years.
